Hello, friends! Since our last entry we have been visited by many angels and we’d like to share our joy with you. The first angel to visit us was our dear Pastor Bill of St. Theresa’s Parish and Our Lady of the Angels Mission. We celebrated at two tables!

The next angel to drop by was our beloved friend of many years, Fr. Ed from Green Valley.  It had been a while since we had seen him last, so our joy was running over to have him celebrate Mass and visit with us.

Then came our Cistercian Angels, one in January and one in February.  The first to visit was Sr. Christina of Mt. St. Mary’s Abbey, our motherhouse. We had a lovely, but all-too-short few days with her before she needed to be on her way.  More recently, Sr. Rosemary of our monastery in Tautra, Norway winged her way to us for retreat and relaxation.  The time for her departure came all too soon, but both Rosemary and Christina have left behind many good memories.

Fr. Olaf of Germany was the next angel to be with us.  He has made retreats with us for many years, usually around Ash Wednesday, and so we have been blest once again by his good presence and celebration of daily Mass.  He added much to our little Mardi Gras supper party and regaled us with stories this past years’ adventures.  We look forward to his time with us again next year.

Our latest angel to arrive is our Father Immediate,  Fr. Joseph of Snowmass, or our “Brother Immediate” as we affectionately call him.  His kind and gentle presence endears him to us all.

And we were visited by four-footed angels, too — well, of a sort.  Meet Rocky and companion.  They came to visit us from our neighbor’s ranch and spent a peaceful day in our backyard.  They especially enjoyed the carrots and other goodies we fed them.  But the day came when their owner wanted them home again, and amidst much neighing, they left us.  Maybe we can visit them over the fence…
